Dhoch³, International DAAD Academy, Fachliche Lektorenbetreuung (FLB), and “Research in Germany“

 

1. Operator

The operator of the platform is the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD – Deutscher Akademi-scher Austauschdienst e. V.), Kennedyallee 50, 53175 Bonn.

 

2. File uploads

By uploading files to the platform within the sections Dhoch³, FLB and Research in Germany, you confirm

  • that you grant the operator and users of the platform a Creative Commons licence as described in Section 3,
  • that you hold all the necessary rights to the files in order to be able to grant such a licence,
  • that you particularly have the consent of all the persons depicted to upload the file and grant the licence,
  • that you exempt the platform operator and users from all third-party rights in connection with the uploaded files.

The information published on this website is provided without any claim to correctness, completeness or topicality.

3.1. Dhoch³

Some of the texts, images and videos on this platform are licensed under aCreative Commons Attribution – NonCommercial – NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence.

Users are therefore entitled to copy and redistribute these texts, images and videos subject to the following conditions:

  • Attribution to the author
  • No commercial use
  • No editing

Other documents, such as editable presentations, are subject to a Creative Commons Attribution – Non-Commercial 4.0 International licence.

The texts, PDFs and exercises are all copyrighted and may only be copied and redistributed for personal, private use subject to the following conditions:

The images provided are also copyrighted (copyright held by DAAD), and any use by third parties is prohibited.

Please note that the instructional materials (lectures, etc.) uploaded to the Moodle course spaces after the training sessions are protected by copyright (cf. Point 9, General Terms and Conditions of the International DAAD Academy). With full citation of the source ('Author,' 'Title,' lecture at the seminar 'Seminar Title' of the International DAAD Academy on 'Date'), it is permissible to publicly quote from the provided instructional materials.

3.3 "Research in Germany"

The texts, PDFs and exercises are all copyrighted and may only be copied and redistributed for personal, private use subject to the following conditions:

4. Liability

The operator does not provide any guarantee for the correctness of the information provided, availability of the services, loss of stored data or usability for a particular purpose. Neither shall the DAAD be liable for consequential loss or damage caused by use of the service.

Insofar as liability exemption does not apply, the operator is only liable for gross negligence and intent.

 

5. Registration and password

The user is obliged to treat the user name/password combination in confidence and not share it with third parties. The operator is to be informed in the event of the misuse of access data.

 

6. Blocking of user access

In the event of non-adherence to the terms of use, the user’s access to the platform can be blocked. Any damage claims beyond this are expressly reserved, especially in the case of breaches of the licence conditions.

 

7. Final provisions and applicable law

German law shall apply. Place of jurisdiction is, as far as legally admissible, Bonn.

Alterations and additions to these terms of use including alterations to this clause must be made in writing to be legally valid.

Any possible invalidity of a provision of this contract shall not affect the validity of the other regulations in this agreement. Invalid provisions shall be replaced by provisions that reflect the intended meaning of the invalid provision as closely as possible. The same shall apply if gaps are discovered that need to be filled.
